The sea change

A cover illustration for Penguin books.

I loved working with the author to bring her ideas for the cover of this fantastic debut novel to life. After the advance copy attracted the attention of the Richard and Judy bookclub (ultimately becoming A Richard and Judy Summer 2013 Book Club pick), they requested a ‘more commercial’ cover, so unfortunately for me, my version didn’t end up being published. We felt this was a shame, because the new cover didn’t have any of the details relating to the story. However, it’s a great read. I’d recommend it!
